Who Is Balendra Shah? Nepal's 47th Prime Minister — An Evidence Profile

Balendra Shah was born in 1987 in Rautahat, a Terai district bordering India. His family is of Madhesi background — a detail that made his ascent to the Prime Ministership historically significant, given Nepal's tradition of Hill-caste dominance in national office.
