About Nepal Next
Nepal’s civic
intelligence platform.
Verified news. Government notices. Leader scores. Citizen complaints. One transparent platform. No noise.
What Nepal Next Is
Nepal Next is a civic media and intelligence platform built to serve Nepal’s citizens, diaspora, and institutions with accurate, verified public information.
We operate like a professional newsroom with specialist departments. Each department is led by a Department Officer — a human being who reviews, approves, and signs off on every significant piece of content. AI handles classification, translation, and summarisation at scale. Officers handle judgment, context, and publication decisions.
We are not a chatbot, not a news aggregator, and not a social media platform. We are a civic record — automated where it helps speed and scale, and human where it matters for accuracy and integrity.
Editorial Principles
We verify before we publish
Nothing appears on Nepal Next without going through a structured verification process. Every article, notice, and verdict has a source trail.
We do not glorify power
The Leader Tracker exists to measure relevance and performance — not to create a stage for politicians. Emerging leaders and local officials matter as much as party chiefs.
AI assists. Humans decide.
Artificial intelligence helps us classify, summarise, and process at scale. But no sensitive content is published without a Department Officer reviewing it first.
Corrections are permanent and public
When we get something wrong, we say so clearly, explain what changed, and archive the correction forever. No silent edits.
Methodology is fully public
Every scoring formula, verification level, and editorial rule is published. You should be able to interrogate how we reached any conclusion.
No noise
Nepal Next does not publish rumour, clickbait, or speculation. If we cannot verify it, we do not publish it.
